Immaculate Iced Tea Cooler (1/2 gallon)

6 regular-size green tea bags
3 regular-size black tea bags, orange-flavored
1/2 tsp sugar
2 c boiling water
4 c cold water
2 c peach juice
1/3 c white sugar
2 T lemon juice

Variation: Raspberry-flavored tea and cherry juice

Place the tea bags in the bottom of a heat-resistant half-gallon pitcher. Add the 1/2 tsp sugar. Pour the boiling water over. Let steep for exactly 15 minutes (set the timer).

Remove the tea bags, being careful not to squeeze them (squeezing the bags will add bitterness).

Add sugar and lemon juice. Stir well until sugar is dissolved.

Add the cold water and juice all at once. Let cool, then chill and serve over ice.
