We had another couple join us for dinner on a winter’s day. This menu worked so well together, and it makes for an easy cooking day.
Bake 2 loaves of bread. Prepare the slow cooker chicken (cook time: 4 to 4.5 hours on high). Dice the fruit and make the fruit salad. When guests arrive, bake the feta and warm the bread. The combination of roasted cheese on homemade bread with an abundance of fresh fruit is superb. Save some bread for sopping up the slow cooker juices.
