Size US 9 (5.5 mm) double-pointed needles (DPN)
US H-8 (5 mm) circular needles, 16″

4.5 sts and 6 rows = 1 inch

NOTES
Liked the pattern, but felt the top was still not round unless the hat was pulled snug with the brim folded up.

Use DPN’s or 2 circular needles while the hat is small, and change to a single circular needle for the ribbing. For tight ribbing, go down a needle size.

Used *K2, P1, K1, P2*, ribbing.
