SIZE
Adult L, 22-inch head

Gauge: 1st 2 rounds = 2 inches

MATERIALS
Yarn:

  • MC – Green: 2.2 oz, 136 yds (1.26 skein)
    2 balls Tahki Sedona Hand Dyed (90% Wool, 10% Silk), 1.75 oz/50 g, 108 yds. Color: 023, Green.
  • CC – Gray:  0.35 oz, 22 yds (0.20 skein)
    1 ball Tahki Sedona Hand Dyed (90% Wool, 10% Silk), 1.75 oz/50 g, 108 yds. Color: 020, Dark Grey.

Crochet Hook – US Size I -9 (5. 5 mm)

NOTES
Looks best when flaps are up. It was indeed quick and easy, but I found several errata: All the original numbers in the pattern seemed off. Instructions to place markers put them in the wrong place (they should be at tips of flap). Pattern had some confusing language: for example, it says “dc in next dc 5 times” instead of “Work 5 DC in next DC” (which is a shell). Changed start to be adjustable ring.

I made a lot of adjustments — would not make this hat again. Ended up giving it away.
