This is about the perfect green smoothie for me: it has cottage cheese for protein, a healthy amount of spinach, some fresh berries, and 140 g total of frozen fruit without added sugar. It is dark purple in color and thick like a milkshake — a low-fat milkshake with at least 4 servings of produce in it and no added sugar.
Makes about 24 oz. total (up to 3 servings)
1 cup unsweetened vanilla coconut milk
1/2 cup fat-free cottage cheese
45 g baby spinach (about 1.5 cups)
3 oz. fresh blackberries (about 1/2 cup)
70 g frozen peach slices
70 g frozen dark cherries
Puree all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Use the ice crush feature if needed.
